Suze is known for her impatience. What drives me mental about Suze is that even with all the benefits that great technology has to offer, she seems to become more impatient every day.

Take for example, Suze trying to pick out the perfect wallpaper for bedrooms.

We were sitting at the computer and she kept trying to find a company she’d heard about that do custom print wallpapers. She kept typing the same thing again and again, deleting and refreshing because the computer wouldn’t load fast enough. Every time she’d comment that the computer was slow. Every time, she’d refuse to wait long enough for the page options to load. It was driving me nuts.

I don’t want to leave anyone with the impression that Jean is dim. She’s certainly not, but impatience can make people seem that way. I think part of it is that Jean is a true DIY person, probably part of the job appealed to her.

“I just want botanical wallpaper!” Jean fumed. ‘How hard can it be?’

When something needs to be done around the house, Jean talks about it for a minute, then gets moving if nothing changes within moments.

Take for example, the roof leak that came to light over the weekend. Jean was standing at the fridge and ‘felt a drip’. Before the kettle had boiled, she was hassling me to help her get the ladder out so she could check the silicon seals she’d caulked in at the start of the year.

One of the coolest things about Jean is how fast she accomplishes something once she puts her mind to it. That new wallpaper she wanted? When I got home last night the lounge had been complete transformed with the new wallpaper. It looked 100 times better than I thought it would. My sister visited and couldn’t stop talking about it, asking her if she could help her put some up in the kids’ room at her own house.

Jean had it ordered for her in under an hour.
